The award week (14-18 october) is just around the corner! This year, we’re focusing on highlighting pathways to a fair and inclusive sustainability transition.
The WIN WIN Award Week is just around the corner, taking place from 14th to 18th October 2024. This week will be packed with inspiring activities focused on this year’s theme, Inclusive Transition, and will feature our remarkable 2024 laureates: the ITUC Just Transition Centre and Natur og Ungdom.
As the world faces urgent sustainability challenges, the transition to greener economies and societies must be fair, leaving no one behind. Our award laureates have demonstrated outstanding leadership in ensuring that this transition is inclusive, just, and socially responsible.
What to Expect:
Opening of the Sustainability Festival Västra Götaland (14th October) The week kicks off with the Sustainability Festival at the Cultural Centre in Bergsjön, in collaboration with Studiefrämjandet. This event will explore the intersection of social justice and environmental sustainability, setting the stage for the conversations to come. Register HERE
Laureate Lecture (16th October) Our laureates will deliver a keynote lecture focusing on their groundbreaking work in ensuring that the green transition includes all sectors of society, especially vulnerable communities. This will be an opportunity to hear firsthand from those leading the charge for fairness and justice in sustainability. More info HERE
Lunch Seminar: Bridging for a Just Transition (17th October) This seminar will include a panel discussion with leading figures from various sectors, exploring how different stakeholders—government, business, unions and civil society—can collaborate to ensure a just transition. In the afternoon, participants will have the chance to join in-depth round table discussions, providing a platform to delve deeper into the complexities and opportunities of achieving an equitable green transition. Award Ceremony (18th October) The week concludes with the official WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award Ceremony, where we will honour the ITUC Just Transition Centre and Natur og Ungdom for their vital contributions in championing just transitions and providing tangible pathways towards a fair and inclusive sustainability transformation.
