CARL HEATH - EXPERT ADVISOR 2023
Carl Heath is a senior researcher at RISE and an educator in countering foreign malign information influence, disinformation, and other misleading information directed at Sweden or at Swedish interest at the Psycological Defence Agency.
Carl focuses his applied research on innovation and exploration in the borders between digitalization, democracy, interaction design, learning and culture. Carl is a Fellow of the Internet Society and was previously appointed Special Counsel for the protection of democratic dialogue by the Swedish Government. Carl has conducted research and design work together with a large range of actors, from government institutions and ministries to Disney Imagineering, H&M, Commission of the European Union, Nordic Council of Ministers and others. Carl has an educational background at the University of Gothenburg, where he studied political science, social science, pedagogy, and ICT.
For the year of 2023 he will support the WIN WIN Award jury in their work to appoint a winner on the theme Fighting Disinformation.
