RECORD NUMBER OF NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2025 AWARD
The nomination process for the 2025 award on the theme of Trailblazing Leadership closed on Sunday, 12 January, with a record number of 800 nominations received from all across the globe.
WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award has received a record number of nominations this year – an impressive total of 800 for 2025. The commitment to sustainable development and innovative solutions grows stronger each year, and this year’s theme, Trailblazing Leadership, has inspired many to nominate individuals and organisations leading the way toward a sustainable future.
This year’s nominations showcase a range of remarkable examples of leadership that challenge established structures, drive change, and create long-term solutions for a more just and sustainable world. From innovative leaders in business to advocates in civil society, the nominations showcase the diverse ways in which transformative leadership manifests both locally and globally.
"It is incredibly inspiring to see how this year’s theme has resonated with so many people. Trailblazing leadership is not just about excelling as a leader on a smaller scale but also about embracing broader societal responsibilities and creating opportunities for future generations," - Sara Larsson, Executive Director of the WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award.
The winner will be announced on 9 April at the Gothenburg Sustainability Summit, which also marks the 25th anniversary of the award’s work in highlighting world-class sustainability solutions.
